In
the ceremony, Chairman Kwon addressed that "it is time to take advantage
of the northern policy implementation system and international cooperation
networks that have been built so far to enter into the stage of
substantialization to achieve specific and actual results”. He also emphasized
that the Committee "should strengthen its deliberation and coordination
function as the control tower of the New Northern Policy to faithfully perform
its role of northern policy advice and support projects promoted by relevant
ministries to produce results".
